Hiking in the Ehrbach Valley and Ehrbach gorge

The Ehrbach Valley runs parallel to the Baybach Valley down to the Mosel, from Buchholz to Brodenbach, traversing a course 16 km long. The Ehrbach, too, is a beautiful valley, possessing gentle banks as well as vertically sloping cliffs. Sturdy shoes and good physical condition are indispensable for the 5-hour hike. Several erstwhile mills invite you to linger a while and are pleased to care for your physical well-being.

The actual gorge stretches 1.5 km between the mills, Daubisbergermühle and Eckmühle. Depending on the water level of the Ehrbach, this section of the valley shows itself as being very divers and, sometimes, very demanding, featuring climbing tours over bridges, footbridges, passing by waterfalls and toppled trees.
