Schinderhannes bike trail

The 38 km long Schinderhannes bike trail leads over one-time stretches of the Hunsrück railway from Emmelshausen to Simmern via Kastellaun. Inline skaters enjoy this trail just as much as the cyclists. The trail was named after the legendary Schinderhannes; the „Robin Hood“ of the Hunsrück. Far removed from congested traffic, you can cycle through wonderful countryside, enjoying superb views over the heights of the Hunsrück Mountains.
